How to start using Juno G editor

Post by Floyd »

Hi everybody!!! I'm not a new member, but I'm a complete ignorant abut MIDI. I would like to start using juno G editor, but I don't know how to do it, because I don't know nothing about MIDI and how do they work.
If someone could help me, step by step, I would be very grateful!! :)

I have Windows 7 64 bit, so I've downloaded and installed the 1.0.0 driver's version for Windows. I've connected Juno G with Pc: I pressed USB button, changed USB storage to USB MIDI and pressed exit.
When I open the juno G editor, I go to SETUP MIDI DEVICES, but I don't know which values write. I tried to write someone: the sound came out, but there was latency.

How can I resolve this problem?

Have I to do other "changes" to my pc?

Please help me :)

In Setup MIDI Devices, if everything works well, you only have to select Roland JUNO-G as both MIDI In device and MIDI Out device. I don't think you should mess with other values.
What were you doing when you experienced the latency? Playing the on-screen keyboard?

I just installed Juno-G Editor. Can I control Juno-G fully with this editor? For example is it possible to edit chord memory for patch?

Thanks.
