Give me patch requests and I'll try

In my current bands (jazz & acoustic) I have few opportunities to program new patches on my JUNO-G, which I would love to do. So I would gladly accept patch requests and then try my best to replicate them.

I'm into basically anything that's not mainly electronic music. I love vintage stuff (EP & Hammond & Clavi etc.), but the JUNO is not the perfect keyboard for that because there are few EP/Hammond samples and they are somewhat lacking. So I would be most glad to try to reproduce old synth sounds (Moog, Prophet, Jupiter, JX, etc.) from 70's and 80's pop/rock/funky etc. Just to get into some programming and become better at it. Also breathe some life into this forum perhaps :)

Don't expect miracles, because there is no VA engine in the JUNO, and I'm also not a pro at this, especially with effects. Note that I will not always have time for this. I would do this for fun, as long as I enjoy it.

Sounds like an interesting assignment :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfcHjZ1qJf8 - what about synth patches from this song ? I can hear at least 3 synth tones used - pad, arpeggiated lead and famous bells-like sound at chorus.

I'll try it and report back about the progress :)

ok. I would be thankful for lead synth in europe´s final countdown.
I spent hours assembling it from separated patch tones but still not satisfied.

I doubt that I can help you on Final Countdown. With hours of work I think you could get as far as JUNO can get. Did you try PR-C 084 Brassy Lead and messing with the filter and filter envelope?

Here is what I managed to do with Enola Gay.

(I don't understand why forum attachments were disabled and deleted.)

All three patches can be improved upon. Additionally, for the part that begins at 1:27 in the song, I would use PR-C 099 Ju-D Lead. Maybe turn up the filter a bit.

Sounds are convincing - great job marzellm ! My favorite is the pad patch, hope that overall exercise gave you the practice you wanted.

Thanks! Yes it feels good now, after some synth programming :) And I also learnt new stuff as well.

I got some great ideas from looking at how some factory patches & Internet patches are done, but these three were created from scratch, using those ideas. Of course they can always be improved more.

Still accepting requests!
