For Mac OS X users: MIDI Device Images

Post by Artemiy »

Hey all!

I've come up with something I think all Mac OS X users will really love ;-)

This is a collection of device images for the Audio/MIDI Setup application. It will allow you to make MIDI connections more easily as you'll be able to distinguish your gear by it's actual pictures. Included are pictures for most of the USB MIDI capable instruments from Roland Edirol and Akai.

So you can have something like this:

I will be adding more gear, maybe also stuff from other manufacturers. Please let me know which is most important for you.

Download version 1.0.1 (15 Feb 2007) here:

http://rolandclan.info/media/support/ma ... Images.dmg

It's an installer which will place the images where they should be so you'll be done in a couple clicks and you'll be able to browse the gear by brand in the Audio/MIDI setup tool.

Enjoy,

Artemiy.

Hey Artemio.

That's great! I installed the images and now my V-Synth and Fantom-X8 show up all pretty in Audio MIDI Setup. :-) Thanks man.

Oh, and I also have a nice high resolution TIFF of the M-AUDIO iControl that I put in the /Library/Audio folder that you can add to your installer if you like. Let me know.

Hey Nate! Glad this one put some life into your Audio/MIDI Setup app ;-)

As of "high resolution" - Apple's own "Generic" set is all 128 pixel wide. So no need for more as the icon size will never exceed that.

Having a bit of trouble finding Midi Images

Post by Sloane »

Greetings Artemio,

I've downloaded and Installed to my HD many times and there is nothing to select in the Audio/Midi Setup on my Mac. Any ideas?

Thank you for all of your brilliant work.

E60 Image?

Post by BBBB »

Hi just got the E60 and connecting to MacBook Pro via USB. Not sure whether this would be necessary or not but just wondering.

That should come in handy...

And since you asked...
How about graphics for:
1.) An Apogee Duet
2.) Midi Sport 2X2

Just a thought... :-D
