Safari and Site Access Time

Post by HiveHead »

Anyone else find that when requesting the site here, the progress indicator bar in Safari gets a couple of cm then has a pause for 30 secs or more? Cant see why this should be, but its just recently happening on my computer.

Matthew, this is not up to Safari - sometimes the server is overloaded by a multitude of users accessing it simultaneously, and page generation time can increase quite a bit. As of why part of the progress bar appears and then stalls for a while, that's how Safari works, basically this first part of the bar shows that Safari has sent a request to the server.
