New forums to open - let's discuss

Post by Artemiy »

Hello all!

With several interesting new products announced this NAMM, I am thinking about opening a couple new forums here.

- I am definitely thinking about one for VP-770 and VP-550 (there were some topics on 550 at the V-Synth section that I'll move).

- What about V-Piano? It may be a niche product due to a high expected price, however, I still think it will be good to have a dedicated forum for it, even if there will not be hundreds of users posting there.

- I was thinking to take the Juno-G topics out of the Fantom-S/X section into it's own dedicated forum.

- Any other suggestions?

I don't know about the V-Piano, but Juno-G/Juno-Stage need to be in their own section.

I'm really considering one of those VP770s. Looks to be a lot of great improvements from the 550. A dedicated place might prove beneficial.

I just opened dedicated Juno-G and VP-770 forums.

Now do the same for the RD series/V-Piano ;-)

Are there many RD users here?

BTW, completely forgot about it, the AX Synth! Since it has a Fantom engine, we just have to have a forum for it.

It depends on what you consider "many";-)
I would say that I see a lot of post about it. Anyway, if you consider openning a forum for the V-Piano I believe it would make perfect sense to join the RD series there.

+1 for a joint V-Piano and RD forum.

There may not be a huge amount of activity there, but it's better than zero activity atall. If people have to make a thread where it doesn't really belong, they probably won't bother. Give them a place to talk about it, and they will.

I bet there's a lot of interesting points with the V-Piano that would be discussed. I for one will be taking the first opportunity I can get to play one!

I'd vote for two forums then, since I do not want to mix RD's with the V-Piano in a dedicated forum, and a "stage piano" forum in the other Roland gear section will be even more flooded.

I think it would be useful to have dedicated Edirol and Boss forums.

Both of these brands are owned by Roland and their products are advertised on Roland websites. I would imagine that many forum users will own stuff from the two ranges, especially Edirol's audio interfaces and monitors, which are very popular.
