Moderators not doing there job

Post by Quinnx. »

i have noticed over the years and more so now that so called moderators dont moderate but dictate..

Where moderation is required its a miss.
where it is not it is rampant.

it seems the only thing moderators do here is either Lock threads or Move to the FreeZone.

Example:
Off topic..

several times i have witnessed threads allowed to go off topic and degrade..
moderators dont do what is required
then if users do request that the previous post be removed to get back on topic this is ignored.
Someone else comes in llike GRAMMER WOMMBATE and start putting up that rediculous picture and then the whole thread start s going down the tubes..

There is more to moderating that LOCKING THREADs or MOVED TO THE FREEZONE

Its not up to you to decide what the "so called moderators" do.
Where moderation is required its a miss
where it is not it is rampant.
Again, it's not up to you to decide what and how we should moderate. You can obviously disagree with it, though

Again, it's not up to you to tell what is requiered or not
then if users do request that the previous post be removed to get back on topic this is ignored.
Funny, according to you, REMOVING something is not democratic and shows ditactorship from the "so called moderators"
Someone else comes in llike GRAMMER WOMMBATE and start putting up that rediculous picture and then the whole thread start s going down the tubes..
Grammar Wombat, secret Roland agent, C.I.A, chick korea and even YOU came part of the what Roland Clan is. You should have learned that from yourself already.

Absolutely, let's go and do some DOESING and get along with it... seriously :-)

Let me quote Artemiy from another thread:
1. This forum is what it is because of the positive mood that I am pushing here no matter what. You kind of don't get it at all. Being calm and positive no matter what is something absolutely vital in a life of every human.

This is a little too much, my friend. Where is your respect? You got this place for free and now you are actually blaming us for something, like we owe something more to you. How polite is that? You either accept this gift or go away. I am serious.

I think Quinnx actually has a point.

Art, you ave done a fantastic thing with the Roland Clan forums, and I don't think that Quinnx is blaming you atall, quite the opposite.
We all appreciate the forum very very much.
It seems to me he is simply pointing out why there are so many threads that just end up counter productively.

If someone was to just monitor the threads which got out of proportion, and lock them when it got too much, then there wouldn't be all these huge arguments, and there'd be no need for anything.

I don't think (without speaking for Quinnx) that he meant what he said as a jab at you personally, more a point of help.

Oh boy- lets take a breath- and enjoy the fantasy world of Rolandclan. I don't know about the rest of you- but I like coming here for the variety of serious- and ridiculous - threads. It is one of my few indulgences I have- and during this terrible recession (depression in my opinion)- we need this havens of relief. I believe the Moderators will keep this place clean from the profane- but lets leave the absurd alone- we are all crazy musicians anyways.

Javaj, I couldn't agree more, however a forum is meant to bring people together for friendly discussion. I can't help but feel that the feeling of this place has been pretty tense as of late.

I love coming here for all the crazy chats and funnies that people post, which is why I hate to see all these arguments cropping up.

Quinnx actually is the initiator of many of those rants that spoil the mood here. And we tend to bring some fun in those otherwise-pointless topics.

Hahaha... I like the way this thread got the mods all snippy... too funny...

By the way, the reason it did, was cus Quinnx was telling the truth.

quinxx, septimo,

i will meet you at your home, then tell you what you need to change based on my very learned, yet personal opinion... please get a pencil and paper and write down all of my suggestions...

how far do i get with that before you kick me out of your house and/or punch me???

This is what i have obseverd
Why is stating what is true an insult to all?

why is asking to put threads back on track get peoples back up.?

I have no power to make anyone do this you can make up your own minds
If it is already known to be true then that says something
If it has somehow become a miss that says something too.

anyways as someone said its not a stab its a fact.

Quinnx actually is the initiator of many of those rants
I dont start a lets rant thread..
I may start or express an opinion to a thread, how people respond is entirely up to them
I have no power over their responses.

What wrong with most text based communication is it lacks the whole vocal dynamic which is compress to monotonic and relies on the mood of who is reading.
So its all interpretive and subjective.

Anyway..
I know things are hotting up around here maybe it needs time to cool down for a while..

Peace..
