New idea for "Unread posts"

Post by avogra »

hey, as it seems to be popular the last days, i also have a suggestion for the forum :)
I think, an extra column in "unread posts" could be usefull, which contains the name of the sub-forum, a topic was posted in. That helps a lot to get the right context of a topic.
I guess this should be quite simple to do. though, i never did much regarding internet-stuff, so i might be completely wrong :-P

Cheers,
Alex

Alex, yes, this has been discussed many times and it's on top of my to-do list!

How about the ability to mark all the posts within a forum as read? I don't have a V-synth, so it would be niuce if there was a quick way to mark all those posts as read in one go, for example.

Andy, if you're interested in new posts in 2-3 select forums, simply subscribe to the RSS feeds for them. Marking each forum individually would take a lot of time for you. I have implemented support for individual RSS feeds for each forum, and now in your browser's RSS subscription menu you should see that option. For example, here is a feed just for the Fantom-S and Fantom-X forum:
