Opening of new forums

Post by Artemiy »

Hey all!

I think there are at least 3 very exciting devices that our community will embrace warmly. I am myself considering the SPD-30 and VP-7, will definitely check them out. So I am thinking about opening these new forums:

SPD-30 octapad (not exactly sure about this one)
VP-7, VP-550 and VP-770
SD-50 sound canvas

Do you think this makes sense?

Only the SD-50 seems similar enough to what we have here (SonicCell), but VP-7 should be very popular among many of us due to size and (hopefully) affordable price, and SPD-30 just seems like a huge bag of fun.

Try it. You can always merge them if they don't get sufficient use.

It's a pitty that they didn't include an EQ (or MFX) in the VP 7 , ... anyhow -> maybe it's very affordable in this case.

Sorry, Artemiy!

I still think that a dedicated expansion board forum section would be a good idea! I just posted some SRX information and chose the Fantom S/X section, however, the pdf is applicable to a number of other instruments as well. Where does one post threads like this?

Cheers!

Yeah! You're right, Dbijoux. I guess that would work. I just personally like the idea of finding all of the expansion related topics in one place. Right now, they're all over the map. Don't mind me! I was just obsessing for a moment.

It might be a case for tagging posts, since SRX exists in so many different models.

From what I've seen how Artemiy runs the forum, I would guess that the question might be would an SRX forum generate enough activity to make it a viable addition? Certainly they come up quite often.

Actually, more like a 'SRX' 'ARX' 'JV80' forum section. It's just wishful thinking on my part, as I am secretly hoping that Roland will release so many new ARX boards for so many new products that we will have to make their presence more cohesive! =)

piaknowguy, I just think it's too late. Too many posts already made on SRX/ARX boards in the Fantom forums. Too many people are so used to posting these questions there. We'd be dealing with many posts that we'd need to move, etc.
