Vintage Roland Synths sub forum?

Post by Computer Controlled »

Where's the forum for all the vintage Roland stuff? I think that would be a nice addition to this site =o]

It's really hard to tell what's "vintage"... all that we have now will be "vintage" in 20 years :-)

We may say "analog" but then we will see people who think D-50 was analog...

I guess technically, vintage = 25 years or older. Or how about "Classic Rolands"? The most recent piece of Roland gear i have is the V-Synth, before that is the M-DC1 dance module. And before that is the old stuff, SH-101, TB-303, TR-707. I guess it would just be nice to see the older pieces represented. Just an idea really =o]

Totally agree - it's very strange that this forum does not have proper forums for roland's stunning legacy of synthesizers, string machines, effects, drum machines and so on.

would strongly recommend adding a range of new forums - there are a lot of users of this gear out there and you'd attact a whole new cohort.

Could you also have a Roland News forum please?

Kevin.

We'd gladly expand if I had the time to manage everything.

So far, my plans are described in this post:
