"Classic" Roland gear forums

Hey all,

for quite a while we've been discussing the opening of new forums to cover more Roland gear, namely synths that have been released throughout their history. My main concern was to balance dedicated sections against forum fragmentation.

So my proposal is, open a new section of forums called "Classic Roland gear". Then we'd place around 5-10 forums there, possibly these ones:

SH series
JUNO, JUPITER and JX series (incl. MKS)
TR series
D and U series
JV and XP series
JP-8000/8080

Again, we do not want a lot of dedicated forums, so groups of related gear are best to go with.

That seems like a pretty logical way to go. I'd say all those qualify as classics.

OK, I have opened 6 new forums and we'll see how it goes. We obviously need to move the related posts from the old forums there... will take a while.

Cool. I think it's a great idea. A lot of us still get a lot of use out of the older stuff.
