New kid in town
Posted: 01:04, 15 December 2012
Hi everyone,
I just registered for this forum after reading and learning for the last weeks.
Since my wife and I set our mind on a Jupiter 80 I read this forum to learn from users.
A small introduction.
I live in The Netherlands (near Amsterdam) with my wife an two cats.
The Oxygene album inspired me as a kid and gave me the desire to make (electronic) music.
A casio VL-tone was my first real instrument and after years of experimenting and playing with a C64 and several Casio keyboards, we bought our first real synth in the beginning of this century (Yamaha CS6x).
We now have a nice home studio with some very nice instruments.
Through the years we had some Roland stuff.
The first Roland gear was a CDX-1 disclab followed by a D2 groovebox.
The VariOS (+VC-1 and VC-2), MC-808 and SH-201 is our present Roland gear.
Very soon we hope to add a Jupiter 80 to our setup. The SH-201 will leave our setup, because I think the JP80 will make it redundant and we also need the space in our studio.
I hope to learn from this forum and share my experiences.
regards
Tom
