JV-30 Dead keys & Blank Screen

I was sent a Roland JV-30 for repair, hoping I could fix a dead key and blank screen, and a tuning issue. I can solve the tuning, but only until I can get the blank screen fixed and how to troubleshoot a dead key. Underneath the keys, the second F and A are marked with a pen. Possible dead keys.
I cleaned the used unit and fixed some sticky buttons. Have not yet checked for sound signal. I changed the button cell battery, too. Can ANYONE suggest first steps to repair possible dead keys on a JV-30?
