Edit a post whenever I want

I want to create a thread to share patches, samples etc. In the OP I want to keep an updated list of patches for download.

But I need to be able to edit the OP whenever I want (forever, not only for a limited period).

Is it possible for you admins to change the forum rules so that I can do that?
