Error 8 on roland MC-303

Then I press on record button "error 8" occurs on the screen. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Error 8 on an MC-303 means you have a factory preset pattern selected that can't be modified. You can only record on a user pattern. Just change to a user pattern and everything should work fine. If you're trying to modify one of the factory patterns you can copy it into a user pattern slot and work on it from there.
