What do you think about this idea?
Connecting 2 sp-404 to a dj mixer, like the SP´s were turntables, this way you could double the capacity of the SP-404, in a way that it´s quite easy to work with both samplers?
Is this viable? does it worth the investment? is it a good thing for live performances?
Thanks
oh and i´m new here... =)
2 x SP-404 + DJ Mixer
Re: 2 x SP-404 + DJ Mixer
The 404 doesn't load anything from the card, it plays samples straight from there much like a flash MP3 player. You can have up to 96 samples per card, and up to 1 GB card, so that is around 3 hours of stereo music. Combined with the HOLD function and effects... Well I see no reason why it wouldn't work. But I would suggest you get one SP-404 first and see how it feels to you.

For the price of 2 SP-404's , you could probably score a MC-808.

You might as well get an MPC and just start "fresh pushing" like Hifana(http://www.hifana.com/) !
