MC-909 OS download?

I'm trying to download version 1.22,but it won't work properly.Are the directions given at the Roland website correct? I remember reading that the steps they give to download the latest operating systems aren't correct is this true?

Sometimes during previous installations you can accidentally install dual copies of the OS. The directions, as far as I know, are correct, although they aren't very specific and there's no troubleshooting guide. If the update doesn't seem to be working, you'll need to backup all your User patterns, samples, patches, and once they are safe and sound, do a "Factory Reset" and then install the new O.S.

I personally don't think it's worth the trouble, there doesn't seem to be much fixed, and who knows if any new bugs have been introduced with this version.

Thanks for the reply. I have successfully installed OS 1.22. I found some information over on another website that gave me some pointers.The directions on Rolands website aren't a 100% correct. You have to delete a temporary folder before you upgrade the OS.

Yeah, I heard that too. I don't think you can do any harm by doing it that way, as the new O.S. will reinstall the Temp folder. The other folders are the ones you really don't want to mess with. I tried that TEMP method as well, but it didn't work, so I did a factory reset and the O.S. install worked.

Hey Guys,
..Can someone give me "step by step" instructions on how to update the os on my mc-909 or point to a website with the instructions? Maybe im just impatient, but I cant seem to find it on Rolands website! ...Thanx!
