Editing start/end points on a sample

Post by comradec »

When I go into SAMPLE LOOP EDIT on my SP-606 and try to change the start/end points of a sample, I find that I can't make the precise adjustments I need.

One drum loop sample I've made has surplus data at the beginning before the point I want it to start looping from.

When I move the wave pointer to specify the place where I want to the loop to start I find it either settles in a place well short of the opening beat or leaps over it.

There appears to be no fine degree of accuracy in the wave pointer's movements.

Does anyone know a way round this issue?

Many thanks.

I appear to have posted this message twice, creating two separate threads.

Apologies for any confusion caused. One answer will do nicely ... provided it's the right one of course!
