G'day, SP404 owners

Picked one up yesterday and will spend today learning its ins and outs.

Question regarding the sample format and memory cards:

1. In order to load and, for example, a 10 megabyte wav file via PC will I actually need 20 megabytes of space on the CF card (one for the original sample and room for the converted sample?)

2. Has there/will there be anything available either officially or as 3rd party software that will allow for the conversions on the PC rather than in the SP404?
