MC909 - Cubase SX3

Post by Dexter76 »

Greetings,
i'm looking for a way to record the 16 parts of my MC 909 into 16 separate tracks in CUBASE 3 SX.
The groovebox is master and midi out to my sound card (midi in port)
I open a multitrack session in cubase (16midi tracks) but i don't know how to set cubase so that each 'track' in mc909 should correspond to a midi channel

track 5 = midi channel 5

I know it can be done, otherwise we won't have the MC909 editor...

any hints?

Thank you in advance

interesting. ive had the same problems too. last time i fooled with Cubase is with my LE version. i can't get around using the MC-909's single port In usage to trigger 16 individual. i'll fool with it again tonight. i have similar problems with Pro Tools when i setup more midi tracks. i figured multi-timbral everything would be an ease. having like 7 synths and a midisport is so much easier to set up ports.

Dissolve Part

Post by TOTAL »

That's what's it's called.

I will make yor life simpler if after importing the midi you arm the track's output, before dissolving.
