electronic drum kit and 909 tap tempo..

Post by kno3 »

ok, so the drummer in my band is going with a roland electronic drum kit (don't know the model as of yet), but i'm wondering if it would be possible to get my mc-909's tempo to match up with his hi-hat or something. would this require some kind of external box? also do any of you find the 909s tap tempo to jump up to 300bpm while tapping at much much less for no apparent reason? is there a patch for this? guitar pedals can handle tap tempo just fine, i'm really surprised a more sophisticated machine has such a shaky time of it. anyway, sorry for doubling up questions here, i'm without internet at home currently and i gotta get it all out now, y'know?

thanks!

I V-DRUM and 909

Post by SPISHAK »

I play V-Drums sync'd with X6, or 909, and I set drum brain up as slave, and 909 as master( using midi CLOCK ). Then I set drum brain up to play it's own metronome sound thru ear-bud in one of my ears, when PLAY is pushed on 909. Some drummers can not play to a click track, but the benifits are endless.......imagine what you can do!!!
