Help with SP 606

Post by alexander91 »

Hi guys,

I have a question about the SP 606 groove sampling workstation.
How is it posssible to export the patterns you make with the sequencer to a computer??
I've had the sampler for almost 2 years now so any help would be highly appreciated.
I know that Roland wouldn't build a sampler that doesn't allow you to export the patterns you create on it.
Thanks,
Alex.

Well, if you have a computer, you can simply record the patterns on that, and put 'em back into the 606 as phrases. Simple. Everyone has a computer these days don't they??? I don't see why people have such a problem with this...

Roland should have made it like when you go to export a file and it should save as the name of the song also when the sp-606 is connected to the cpu you would see you're song because it would have the name which you gave it ,but I know i'm dreaming and they would do that... it makes sense to do it that way ... And the manual don't tell you exactly how to do it . Thats why peeps like me don't know how or anything about doing it . But I'll try it to see if the p-606 will do that . If not do you have any more bright idea's ??? I've heard using a 3rd party software but, I didnt' buy the sampler to spend more money on what it should do all ready.... got me ..

sorry I didn't mean to sound arrogant - I've just been doing this stuff for over 15 years so I guess what seems obvious to me may not to others....

Head over to SP-Forums to see some nice 606 tricks.
