Ooh, that looks wide enough for 2 octaves of mini or full keys with aftertouch, pitch bender and a mod wheel!! A wide ribbon controller would also fit nicely.

I hope the MC-909 will stay up as a high rated synth on the stats, because of its capabilities.

I will find it interesting to see a Pro-introduction of the MC-1000 on YOU_TUBE eventually, of its functionality.

Just to also add that the new State Of The Art Technology looks to be more studio based than to use as an all round Live Groovebox.

Great Idea

I would dump my MV and SC for this because MV and SC is pretty close to what you ask for, only with double the features and truely all-in-one

http://forums.rolandclan.info/pub/attac ... MC1000.JPG

I would add a small keyboard too it.. 4 octaves should fit.
That beast would then beat any meko/neko by miles!! hahahah..

Don't forget the VSynth Card and Fantom S/ARX slots :D
And 512MB Sample Ram is a must!

ADAT would be cool too.

And because it looks so adorable:
Release a "gold" edition with touchscreen.

Price for this ultimate machine: 5000,-

I would buy it.

* lol * This thread is awsome so i needed to register here.

The picture looks awsome, i would love a new mc looking like this.

About the features :

Xboard, i agree with your feature list but you demand the new mc to calculate up to 192 efx + reverb + chorus + mastering at the same time * lol *
I also like fx of course and when i saw the new mfx upgrade on the fantom i was quite excited.

But lets be realistic:

- the mc 303 and 505 was a derivate of the jv 2080 engine
- the mc 909 and 808 are derivates of the xv 5080 engine
- the mc 1000 will be a derivate of the fantom g engine

This means 16 pfx + 2 mfx + reverb + chorus + mastering.

We may see a little change to that and if i could request a little change it would be this:

A pfx setup like in the yamaha motif xs. There you can not have 1 fx on each part , however you can have 2 in each of a max of 8 parts. This is more flexible and i like flexibility.

For short: I would like to be able to put ( extreme example ) 16 fx into one slot and none in the remaining 15.

But most important: The sample load time needs to be faster.
It takes 15 minutes to load 512 mb into the Mc 808 which is not acceptable. Also the editing is so slow, i actually don*t use any sampling on my 808. When i found out about that i was quite angry actually because if you compare the reality to what roland promised, you feel like betrayed. If you dont know what i mean, look at the presentations of mike acosta ( spelling ).

I would also like more analog outputs than four. This is nice for independent external realitime processing ( daw with additional fx ).

edit: I just hope that the new mc will be a professional monster synth and not just a toy or half arsed crap can like my 808.
