It is possible to run a diagnostic procedure of the components of the MC-909 (screen, buttons, memory, input-outputs, etc).
ATTENTION, the automatic test ends with a factory reset of the gear! Make sure to have a backup...

Press [MENU]
Choose "System"
Press F6 (System Info)
Hold SHIFT, then press successively 1 - 7 - 8 - 9 parts
Release SHIFT key
Press F5 (Test Mode)
Press [MENU] to choose a test module or F6 for automatic mode
To ends test mode, you'll have to turn off your 909.

PS.: You can leave anytime the test mode with SHIFT+EXIT

And don't be surprice if You see a message like this :D lol

**TEST MODE:**

**WARNING** - "Any Damage you do on your Roland MC-909, you are responsible.
If your not sure on what this technical info does, please do not try these steps".
**[This is for Educational Purpose].**

ADDED A BIG PIC FILE, SO YOU CAN FOLLOW EACH STEPS CLEARLY....CAUSE ITS NOT JUST ONE MODE
ITS ALOT TO RUN ON THIS MACHINE.....PLEASE ORDER THE TECHNICAL USER MANUAL FROM ROLAND CORPORATION.

"Steps like this is hard to explain, hope this helps and other HARD CORE Roland MC-909 user out
there... Lets keep supporting each other - Its the only way for now on a discontinue product.".
Roland MC-909 is by far still a great Drum Machine.

Damn I cant save anything to the user area actually....I've got a Memory Damaged error :/
I went into the Test Mode and on the 4th page - Expansion Board : NG (not good).
The funny thing that I DIDNT HAVE any expansion board, just the memory which was OK (all of them into the test - Page2).
Someone could tell me now whats going on ?
Could I disable the SRX port somehow ?
And that happened after a factory reset (2x) ...
