trouble with mc 909 sample exchange

Post by Abekk5 »

hi, im here for the first time and not shure about beeing right but i try so hard to find out what the prob is with exchanging wav-samples on the roland mc909.

i got a lot of sampled mat. on the internal 909 disk and about 960 pattern build with them (i dont want to loose all that stuff!! hehe)
but now i decided to put a new smc in and want to work with new samples and save all the new pattern- stuff on this second smc (pattern and samples)
so i wanted to manage it via usb and just droped a few new wave samples into my smc- folder wich pops up when connecting to pc ( MC909-SMC/ BACKUP/ ROLAND/ SMPL/... )
i exchanged my internal samples, the few i sampled realtime, with some new wavesamples ( MC-909 USER/ ROLAND/ SMPL/...where they should be, i hope...
after reboot there are same names listed in the sample-menu and no new wavesamples that i droped into the folder (not internal as well as on smc)
which fallacy do i got here? , please help!!!
i dont know how to sipmly exchange the samples/patches on on iternal rom and smc...
(this old onboard-sounds make me sleppyegg :-D)
thanks for any helpers ;-)
greets
