MC 909 MIDI Clock Settings

How can i synchronize MC 909 to Ableton live while using Ableton as MIDI Clock master device ? I want to b able to play audio from mc 909 and record it in Ableton Live synced to Ableton`s master tempo .

I got a MC-909 since some days. Until now i worked with Ableton live.
I use an Oxygen 8 as Midi Keybord. So i tried to get it running like this :
MC-909 Midi to Oxygen 8 and Oxygen 8 via USB to My Mac with OSX Lion.

MC-909 is set as slave.

Cant get it running...

Is a midi to USB Cable an Option?

I do not use a computer in my setup so I do not know the configuration in Ableton. The MC909 is not midi usb enabled. The USB is just for file transfer between computer and MC909.

but i ordered a usb to midi cable and now it works!

Wow...that is really good if that is the case. Before I answered your email I read through the manual to find the answer. So that is a valuable discovery that you just found. Makes me wonder if all the other roland products are the same way.

It works with Ableton in both ways, as a master and as a slave.
When i use the 909 as Master there are some Tempo sync Problems when I use Samples
in Ableton (The time stretch funvtion in ableton is often automaticly, much of my used samples are
in 145bpm, my music is mostly in 134bpm) but when i use Ableton as Master and 909 as slave it works
really great!!
