Hi, so I've just tried connecting my 505 to Ableton because I heard that you can send almost all of it's controls via midi. My big plan is to make a preset that integrates the two really well so that I can kiss the damn mouse goodbye!
But I've stumbled at the first hurdle. I want to be able to select tracks in Ableton using the 505's normal track select buttons underneath the middle faders. They send midi signals but they all come out in either a completely random order or a really really complex mathematical order that I've no hope of understanding.
This seems pretty odd, why would there be midi signals coming from it if they're almost impossible to take advantage of?
All of the other faders buttons and knobs work fine apart from this. Does anyone know why they behave like this or if there is an equation that makes sense of them?
MC 505's random midi signals!?
