Continuous Control on a Roland MC-505?

I'm new to midi, so forgive me if I use the wrong terms.

I hate how the "Mixer Selection" button controls too many things. I keep getting mixed up thinking it's set to "MegaMix" and it will be set to "Levels." Is there a way to use an external midi device to break up the different sections?

For instance, could I use one set of knobs on an external midi device to control the "MegaMix" and have another set of knobs to control the "Levels?"

Yes you can. Only problem you would have is learning what controls what. I suggest reading up on midi and the midi channels to control the MC-505 first.

Great! Thanks! Do you know any good links I can read to learn about it?

need to check the manual, and particularly the Midi Implementation part (usually separate from the main manual)
