Tr-08 missing instruments

My cowbell cymbal closed and open hats are not working properly. When I go to choose them it'll say bass snare and accent and it'll play those sounds instead of them. But if I change the tone in the menu the sounds will play. I haven't seen anyone talk about a problem like this and I just want opinions before I try to repair or sell it.
