Roland MC909 - dead power supply

Post by BruxyKull »

My Roland mc909 packed in on me without any warning, I had it looked at and was told the power supply needs to be replaced. Does anyone know how I would go about acquiring a replacement power supply for it or know anywhere that would be able to carry out a repair on it? If these avenues are exhausted is there any kind of service that can build a replacement power supply for this machine? I contacted Roland and they told me they no longer stock replacement parts for this machine.

Yeah that really sucks. My R-8 did the same thing. It seems as if though there is no one left in this world that repairs this stuff. Now, if we use some logic here, if there is a good electronics repair shop that you can find near you, they can repair it. The only the only catch, is that Roland supplies a repair manual (which I have not seen) for the MC-909, and in my case, the R-8. Great topic here!
