Roland D2 RHY

Post by Knob twiddler »

Hi there,

Is there still anybody with a Roland D2 here? I have a MC-505 and there I can apply separat FX on the individual drumsounds. But the D2 has limited access to the same syntheziser chip and with the normal EDIT part functions from the Drumpart you can only apply FX to the total drumpart. But on page19 of the manual it says: If you specify RHY the mfx will be applied according to the settings of each tone in the rhythm set. How do you enter those settings for each tone?

Thanx in advance,

I have an MC505 and others, but never had a D2. Check the midi implementation for the D2, this is where you would find if it's possible to set the drum part to the RHY setting. You might have to do it via sysex though. A lot of this era Roland stuff is all very similar, but with various features left out in the UI, but active 'under the hood'

you should use sysex ; or try use GrooveBox Editor for Roland MC-505, MC-307, JX-305 and D2
