Loop Cross Fade Fake

Post by BirdFLU »

I know the V-Synth doesn't do crossfade looping on samples. I've found a couple tricks that can sort of make up for this, but would like to hear some ideas from others.

The most obvious one to me is to use the LFO to modulate the Time parameter of the sample.

Other suggestions?

You might want to use the "Alternate" loop mode on the GT, unless your sample contains vocals or drums.

In the sample edit page, you have to set the starting and ending points of the FWD and BWD tabs at the same positions, then you activate the loop and EXIT the page. Back in the sample list, choose Info and switch to Alternate instead of One-way for FWD looping and/or BWD looping (depending on how your patch actually loops that sample.)

No need to crossfade.

Hope this helps,

cheers
