As always, another great set of videos. Everytime you put a new one out, I learn so much about my V-synth. Glad to see that even though you're with OpenLabs, that you are still giving us V-synthers some love.

Have you ever considered doing a full DVD tutorial on the V-synth? I'm sure there'd be a lot of interest. I certainly would, and these videos are a great start.

Also, what type of camera do you use when you do these vids?

Motor,

Thanks for the kind words but I left Open Labs a few months ago. This gives me the freedom to do whatever I want to do. I started my own company called "Stout Sound" you can check it out at stoutsound.com. I have a bunch of cool things coming out, not just for V-Synth but other cool sound libraries.

I just use a little DV camera, nothing special. :-)

Thanks guys!

The next project is Vintage V-Synth. I'm working with the guys from Digital Sound Factory. It will be using a collection of E-Mu Emulator 2 and Emax 1 samples. So, if you are a fan of Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel of anybody who used an Emulator or Emax back in the day, you'll be into this!

Hi Jim
As usual, making video's like this, is your forte. I'm suprised to read that you left O/L. I enjoyed watching your informative and highly organised ( well they seem organised lol ) O/L vids. The company must feel like its lost a strong component of its video advertising arm. I certainly got a better understanding of O/L products through your vids. If the company had an 88 XXL i would have purchased it because of your vids.

Anyway good luck with your new journey.

Regards
Billy

I will still contract with OL to do videos and sound design but I wanted to do other things as well.
I do a lot of sound effects for Hollywood Edge, Audio Micro and my own stoutsound.com. I still have a love for the V-Synth and I have a lot of things planned for that. Plus I'm getting request to do other projects. So that's why I left. Thank you for the kind words.

I am trying to buy both Piano and FM collection on your web site....The secure function is causing errors. I have to choose unsecure to view my shopping cart....

Hmmm?

I've attached two versions of your Checkout page....the 1st one secure and the second not...the not secure one looks correct, but IE says it is not secure...I've attached the error message as well.

Thanks for the head up. This is a new site some some things are still getting ironed out. If you are outside the US there are certain things that have to be done for security reasons. The guys are still working on that.

If anybody need to reach me send an email to info@jimstout.tv.

The FM stuff is really inspiring! Thanks!

The Pianos are a big improvemt from the stock piano.

I noticed the V GT has OK EP's, so I will drop that request.

Keep the info and updates coming Jim!
