Favourite Plucked/Keys

Post by SoundworldA.D. »

The V continues to surprise, whether it is lovely steel or nylon stringed guitars, or ambient pianos and movement laden electric P's.

1) PluckdSomthn (JayB really hit a home run with this one!)
2) Trippin' EP
3) Windy Nyle
4) Acoustronic
5) Ambie EP
6) MOON PIANO
7) Arcadia
8) Magic Shower
9) Tiny Morpher
10) Harpin' Pad

Hello Soundworld a.d.,

I am a happy new V-synth GT owner and checked out your sound libraries. If I try to open them(for example Eight Zero ad) in my V-Synth Gt it looks as if everthing is proccessing correctly but no patchnames appear and also no sound can be heard! What do I do wrong, could you help me out?
Like to hear your sounds and give my top 10!

Thanks,

Jivan.

Hey Jivan, welcome to the world of V-synth!

I don't have the GT, but a Version 2 V-synth. If you have transferred the patches from your computer to the Synth, you next should use the import feature on your synth. Then you can find the folder the patches are in and add them to open patches in your library.

Welcome to RC, Jivan :)

If you're talking about the files available from jp-80.com (The Repository of sounds) there are some sounds that need to be converted from XT format to GT one.

So take the downloaded files and put them into you XT folder on the USB stick. Then go to Utility and then select convert project. It then goes through the stages and then you can hear the sounds.

You then have to save the project - give it a new name and then you can use the normal load project routine after that (you can delete the files in the XT folder once you've converted them).

There must be something else going on, for Eight Zero AD are the 10 patches that I created exclusively for the GT by mangling away on cello's CS80 Low Lead project and adding one more based from Richard Devine's "Mirrors.".

Keep in mind that there are only 11 patches in this set as follows:

1) Port o Mento
2) Ring Mod 80
3) OSC SYNC SS
4) Resonator FM
5) Synpatico
6) Ringulator
7) Bright Field
8) Eighty DBTT
9) AnafazR
10) 8064
11) MirrorZ

There are 15 accompanying TONES (some are obviously duplicates) that go with the set:
1) CS80-1 DH
2) CS80-2 DH
3) CS80-2 DH
4) CS80-RingMod
5) CS80-2 DH
6) Sinker
7) CS80-3 DH
8) CS80-4 DH
9) CS80-5 DH
10) Ringer
11) CS80-6 DH
12) CS80-1 NP
13) CS80-7 DH
14) Tiny Bits
15) Cascades

There is also 1 wave sound that is attached to the set.
