setting the basic midi channel

Post by synthman »

Simply want to know how to set the basic midi receive channel (global, master or what ever setting its called on the v synth) so I can sequence my v synth from my sequencer. Not a multichannel/multi timbral setup. Just so I can use it on a single track in my sequencer?!. I can only find how I can use it on multi mode.

Edit: I've tried setting the midi ch for part 1 to other midi channels on my v but no mater which channel I set my Ensoniq SD1 to it still plays the patch on my v synth that's set to channel 1

You've probably figured this out by now, but...

Setting the receive channel for part 1 takes care of this. If you don't zone out the keyboard, part 1 is assumed to be the "master". It should receive on whatever channel you set part 1 to.
