V-Synth Zones and Midi Channels

Post by Ricoche »

I'm curious if the V-synth can "transmit" on different midi channels per zone when the keyboard is split. If I want to control 4 external modules using 4 different zones, would that be possible? I know you can "receive" on a different channel for each zone using multi-timbral mode, but whether you can transmit I am not sure about. I know the Fantom X6 can do this in performance mode. Thanks.

After reading the manual it looks like I can set the Transmit channel to be either different or the same as the Receive Channel for each patch. When in Multi-timbral mode I can then split the keyboard into 3 or 4 zones and assign a unique patch to each zone. Thus my thoughts are that I can set a blank patch and use that zone to control an external sound module or sampler. I would love to be able to combine both a couple of internal sound zones and external module zones so to speak. It sounds like it's possible.
