Loading wavs onto the V-Synth / PC card via Linux?

Hello,
I am using Linux. Is it feasible to load samples onto the V-Synth / PC card via USB with the librarian running on Wine? Do I need an older USB format (1 or 2) connection? Or is there another way, like using a PC card reader on the computer?
