Cards not working. Help!

Hi all. Newcomer here but owner of a V-Synth since 2010. I am on v2.0. I have recently acquired on eBay a VC-2 card (already had VC-1, which worked fine). When I plugged the new VC-2 the screen hung on the V-Synth logo. So I restarted the synth and got the same. Then I tried restarting with my old VC-1 and same thing, frozen on the V-Synth logo screen. Can't use compact flash cards either. I have tried a factory settings reset with no luck, as it boots fine without a card in the slot.

Any suggestions? This is terribly frustrating and I cannot diagnose what's going on. Thanks
