pattern full message

Post by Keith S »

I have 162 user patterns, when I try to save pattern 163 I get "MEMORY FULL". How do you delete one or two patterns so you could fit in the last pattern you are trying to save?Is there a simple way to delete a pattern without going into microscope mode? I couldn't find it in the manual.

Your title says "pattern full" but you message says "Memory full"??

if your trying to save to USER memory
my best advice is invest in a CF (the largest one you can afford)

Leave USER: memory for templates/patches and Waveform
dont waist it with songs/patterns or samples.

With a CF you will be able to make USER backup to keep your user area Safe.
Oh and dont forget to exapand ram to 512mb.

If your getting error "pattern full" this is usualy because your tring to start a new pattern recording with Loop Song
switch this off.

I have two 128 meg smart media cards(CF ?). I'll try your advice and clear the user memory, but I have one pattern "162" that is giving me problems. The power was interupted as I was trying to save it and now when it plays it reaches 4 bars and then it repeats 1/2 bar over and over. When I try to edit, delete,or erase the pattern I get a "memory full" message. The MC-909 won't let me do anything to that pattern. Sometimes it will display "memory damage". I was just wondering if there was a quick way to delete one pattern at a time. I'm going to dump all the user patterns to the computer and try to delete that one pattern and see if that will solve the problem.
