808: Copying Patterns to another location

Post by doombilly »

Is there a way to Copy a pattern to a new blank location and have all of the part/patch information follow it?

hi there,

just SAVE it AS 'whichever_name' to your blank location. Thus you get all the settings/information stored in the new pattern.

Save not Copy

So use SAVE and not COPY?
After my GM question I am really feeling like a m0r0n...ahem/
I'll try this when I go home.

don't worry...

...i made the same error. yeah you WRITE but then you change the location or even the name while you're at it. then everything about the pattern is saved. it makes sense but when you see "PART COPY" you make assumptions.

I was spending way too much time trying to make all the instruments over then get the levels equal.
