i wonder if is posible the data transfer(paterns) from mc 505 to mc 808. maybe only midi? somebody.....?

i don´t know nothing about the 505 but if you can export a smf file there you can import it on the 808. But you still will need to assign all the sounds to the parts cause they are not compatible.

You cant export MC-505 patterns to SMF.
I have MC-505 and MC-808 and some of patterns i re-recorded to MC-808 after midi connect both machines. But some sounds from MC-505 you cant adjust to MC-808
Therefore i very like both of my lovely silver boxes ))

Yes, recording via MIDI will work, but I'd keep the 505 too - it has a great, charismatic sound.

I'd love to have the factory 505 midi patterns in my 808 then tweak them a bit. Anyone have the files?
