Hi Folks,

thanks to member dv1394 we can download a much improved editor script and some more pretty nice tools for mc-808. This link exists already for sometime but since it is hidden in the history of this group i decided to bookmark it.

Again, thanks to dv1394.

Bye, Dirk.

The screen shots of this look pretty nice fellas!

One question tho before I try doing this, will it work for Mac versions of the Editor?

Hi J,

please try it out and backup the files before you overwrite the xml and resource files.

Should work by principle

Bye, Dirk.

Hi,

no it will not work with mc-909. But there is a editor software for mc-909 that also has most of the features of the extended mc-808 script.

Pls search the net for this and look on here:

Bye, Dirk.

Hi Dirk,

Yeah I know it, I've been using it a while.
But I've been interested in this line :

" some hidden SysEx parameters like "stretch tune depth", "analog feel" and some others have dedicated controls for your tweaking pleasure "

Could I customise MC-808E_ToolBar-2r.ahk or it needs to be recompile the script or something like that.... ? (to use it on the mc-909)

I like this Window mangement ToolBar v2.

Keep up the good work,

Attila

You'll have to recompile the script, since the authors of 909 modification did not change the rhythm part editing logic, which i did.

To give you a start - the script section that initializes editing windows does nothing more advanced than opening those windows one-by-one by clicking the corresponding areas of the main editor screen.

You should probably look into version 1 of the window management toolbar, because it uses "classic" Roland layout of editing windows.

Thank You very much.
I'll test it with the V1.

Hi DV 1394 % Dr B.

Just to let you know the script works pretty sweet with a Mac. Thank you so much for this! But I can't get the Window management toolbar to work tho. Is this for windows PCs only?

hey JS!

the scripting software (http://www.autohotkey.com/) that i used to write the toolbar is working under Windows only.

Thanks for getting back to me DV on that.

I thought as much with it being an autohotkey program - just wanted to double check.

Anyway, I'm very happy with the new look editor you've designed - very swish and the extra features are very nice :)
