I patched the installer to allow you to install on windows 7, I dont have
the hardware so I dont know if the installed driver works on Windows 7
but it should.

I got a report that the drivers work on Windows 7

Hi. I installed the mc 808 Vista driver and editor in an old vaio laptop running windows 7 ultimate edition .
No problems.
It worked also for the sh 201 driver and editor.

Steps to get the editor working in windows 7.

unplug the 808 from the usb cable.
insert the cd.
close the autorun program.
go in to explorer , right click on the driver/editor installer and set compatability options for XP.
run the driver/editor installer and it will install just fine.

reconnect the 808, start the editor, goto midi options and select Roland 808.

hey presto :)

OK so I recently got a new VIAO and am wondering... does this patch work for Window 7 64 bit?
Seems like some say yes and some say no!

Hi guys,

For those running on Windows Seven (Vista) 64 bits, using Oracle VM VirtualBox
http://dlc.sun.com/virtualbox/vboxdownload.html

Install Windows XP on a virtual machine and then install the driver windows xp.
this is a temporary solution that I propose the time so a driver for Roland 64bits. (Hope they come out one day)

ps: excuse my English

Enjoy

I think ...the last post is from oct 2010... its now 30th June 2011.

No Win7 drivers (32 or 64 bit).

Any update on this issue?
