I am about to purchase some new(used) equipment to go along with the MC-808. If anyone has a suggestion as to what I should buy, let me know. and please put in some notes as to why you made the selection. even suggestions that are not listed in the subject line are welcome.

I wouldn't get the SP606 then your MC-808 can do that too.

To closer consideration are the RS7000 and MPC.

And here I would say go for a mpc. My 2cents.

Thanks for the info, I have owned a RS7000 before so the learning curve is no problem, the mpc has always been one of those things I have wanted, but I didn't want to buy into the hype. I might get both and end my equipment search there. Maybe the MC-808 with the RS and the mpc2500.
