Post by total_zet »

after resampling, I save the resample file to patch. no 14 and I save it in the card ..
after thjs recording I can play the file in MC808 as a patch/sample..
but the problem is, I can`t transfer it to the computer.. I just can`t find the .wav file..

normally I thought I will find it in USB:STORAGE in my comp under /roland/sampl

but there are just 2 .wav files one is recognized, and one is not readiible by computer.. uknknow file format.. anyway it has got .wav end the end..

your help very appreciated.. do you have some experiences someone with it?

Hi,

this works for me. ido it this way:
- i use windows and have the wave file format set to windows in system settings
- i resample the song to a sample, e.g. CSAM 0002
- Now i go for sample/patch mode CSAM, select sample 0002 with dial and then [WRITE] the sample to card.
- Now i connect usb in file mode to card and copy sample0002.wav to my computer

Thats it.

Bye, Dirk.

thank you Dirk,

I got the wave format set to .wav in mc808 settings.. I havent seen any possibility to set it on windows..

do you use roland software as well? while copying from Card to Computer?

the samples should be located in ROLAND/SMPL folder in computer, but there is no sample I just resampled.. very strange.. I see it on the Card in MC808 but I cant see it in the computer, when connected USB

I think there are 3 reasons:

1. My Samples are stored on some other location (on Card but some different place)
2. the name of sample might be incorrect( I used the name "J A M" and maybe free spacec between the letters might be the problem
3. or some system settings issue in MC808

Hi,

what happens if you reload sample inside mc-808? Have you really saved it to card? Resample will only create the sample in RAM.

Bye, Dirk.

Hi..

yes, I got my sample saved there, I can reload it and use it..
it is stored on Card, even after restard roland it is still there,
so it is stored, its not only in RAM, it is stored, saved there 100%

I just cant take it out from MC808

It is saved to the Card, but Im not sure if it is saved in mode CSAM
what does it mean CSAM mode?

I see now..

USER:Usr A–H
CARD:Crd A–H
USAM:User sample
CSAM:Card sample

I am not able to save it in CSAM , my samle is saved and located in CARD:Crd A–H and not in CSAM.. I am not able to set the location CSAM for the saving..
