MC 808 Editor Question

Hello, I recently purchased an mc 808 and i cant seem to get the editor software working properly.
Under the category the patches dont show up. I can manually select them with the hardware but it doesnt show the patch names when I try to select them with the editor. Everything else is working I have the midi setu correctly.
I also own a Fantom XR and using the fantom XR editor software I can select patches with the software and see the names and categories. Why can I do this with the mC 808???

have you executed the "Read Sample Names" and "Read" functions?
