no patterns or patches
I just bought a used MC 808 and there are no patterns or patches - seems like someone did the factory reset. Can anyone advise on if/how to reload all the internal sounds?
Re: no patterns or patches
Hi, you should do a fresh factory reset. This will restore all factory patterns and sounds. If it does not work the first time, run it again.

Re: no patterns or patches
I tried the factory reset but nothing happens. When I choose different patches it tells me that all the patches are empty; when I try to choose different patterns it tells me there are no patterns. This is what the LED says: (when patch is chosen) "Patch Category No assign" (when pattern is chosen) "Part 1: init patch" - no matter which pattern on patch I choose using the selector wheel or arrows I get the same response...Help!

Use the selector wheel then press enter.
Re: no patterns or patches
OK, go for this:
Press [USER] and then [PATCH]This should place you in the patch mode. Now simply select patches by dialing. Do NOT press [Enter]. [Enter] will only open the selection screen for the patch group (e.g. Piano).
Play on the 16 buttons. Change sound by dial and only by dial. Does this changes the sound?

Re: no patterns or patches
Nope. Sound stays the same. It just says "Empty" on the screen.

Hi, no idea. Maybe you should call roland support.
