808 Editor - Compressor or EQ Mutes a Part?

Post by doombilly »

Hi, I have a cowbell/percussion part I wanted to boost the volume more on. In the past I have just routed through the compressor using the MC-808 Editor. I seem to connect fine. I can remotely move sliders from my PC. But whenever I click the routing and send to the compressor the part sequenced mutes. I've added about 13db gain at different ratios etc.. The whole kit stops making sound. Even if I push the buttons on the 808, nothing. I have to exit the 808 editor and get out of that pattern and come back to it unsaved for it to play again.

Output Assign on the Comp/EQ Window = Dry
On the Routing Window for Part 6 = Mix
I've tried it through MFX1 & MFX2 also. No sound.

Hi,

i will try to check it on the weekend.

BTW, have you tried to use software editor to visualize your routing? You could append a screenshot of that for making diagnostic easier.

Bye, Dirk.
