Dear Expert,
when i connect my mc-808 with my soundcard to record some sound, i heard a terrible noise from the output. Some people suggest that there are some electrical trouble, but:
- if i connect the 808 directly to the speakers i don't hear any noise.
- if i connect another instrument to the soundcard i don't hear any noise.

so the trouble is between mc-808 and my motu soundcard, or my Macbook pro...

Have you got any suggestion?

tnx a lot

What program are you using to record the audio?? It might be the levels are too high in whatever program you are using.

Did you connect the MC808 to the line-input of your sound card?
Maybe your power to the mc808 is the problem. Maybe try an other adapter power supply for you mc808.
You can try to connect earth ground mass wires to all your devices.

I've had my Mc808 for a week and also noticed it made a very irritating noise. Fortunately I immidietly associated the noise to ground issues and hooked up my outputs through a DI box and the noise disapeared.
