Hi ,
Can the MC 808 and MC 909 send it's arpeggiator out by midi to an external sound module ?
Does each channel have it's own arpeggiator ?
If so , Can it send multiple midi arp data out simultaneously on different midi channels ?
If so does the arp midi data need to be recorded to it's respected midi channel on internal sequencer 1st before you send arp midi out or can it send arp midi data out live on multiply channels like Karma on the Korg Kronos ?
Thanks hope that makes sense .
Mc 808/909 arp midi out ?
Re: Mc 808/909 arp midi out ?
hi Roc..
I just picked up an 808 off ebay ..received it yesterday..
still figuring it out but so far
a) delightfully easy to sync clock and start/stop with other gear... Maschine, Fantom and Nova all use stop/start/continue.
b) the arp is "performance oriented" and works on a single channel at a time.. you can record its output over midi.
c) you can record the arp into the sequencer onto any channel.. so then you can play out and capture an arp based performance on multiple channels
d) the 808 seems to be based on the Fantom X architecture and so (allegedly according to the manual) you can program arps.. something that's not in the Fantom G
cheers
