MIDI - Export tempo track from Cubase into hardware

Hi, has anyone experience with exporting tempo track as midi file from Cubase to HW? I use MC-808 as a sequencer, it reads all the information exported from Cubase (5) just fine, except the tempo change. Thank you for your advice!
